Locally, we offer FREE at-home pickup in a very large part of the Twin Cities metro area as well as within Rochester city limits! Folks living farther out who happen to live on or near the path of a tour, we will gladly make special stops along the way – as convenient for you as we possibly can make it! Or! If you are even more distant, we provide local lodging and shuttling! Our Fly-away tours and cruises allow folks from anywhere to join the group at the destination, taking part in essence of the tour as well! We'll be happy to arrange flights and make it easy for you!
Mike, Barb, our 6 children, significant others and our growing brood of grandchildren! Mike has a travel background reaching back over 50 years - having driven what was called a "hound" in the early 70's (old GMC buses that had been part of the biggest deal in bus transportation for years - noisy, uncomfortable beasts!). He stepped into a different arena for 43 years, returning to those old roots in 2009. After a few years on the road, he moved positions, a challenge to restore a Minnesota tour company to its former glory. Covid came along and changed his trajectory - didn't everyone's? Moving on, we opened Heart of the North Tours in March of 2021 with a new purpose. Instead of grinding out cheap tours, our focus is on quality - a Cradle of Comfort if you will. We provide door-to-door pickup service for folks in the metro area, and we also offer pickups along our travel routes, as well as local overnight stays for folks "outside of the box". We have professional escort couples, included iced water, included in-between snacks, great experiences and much more! We proudly work exclusively with Northfield Lines for all motorcoach travels leaving the Twin Cities area. Northfield has great drivers, experienced and personable too! Northfield coaches are modern, feature an onboard restroom, comfortable seating, air conditioning multiple media equipped and more!
